Exhibition Report: Wireless JAPAN 2007

A wireless telecom exhibition called Wireless JAPAN 2007 was held in Aritomo Big Site, Tokyo from July 18 to 20, 2007. This exhibition, firstly held in 1996, is an annual convention focused on R&D, engineering, sales and marketing, of wireless and mobile industry. Latest technologies are displayed and introduced by wireless telecom operators and vendors in Japan as well as from overseas. WILLCOM, together with Sharp, Toshiba and Abit also displayed PHS related technologies and products in the exhibition. Content of the display is introduced below.
- WILLCOM
On WILLCOM booth, the Next-Generation PHS system was displayed and attracted many attentions. Field test base-station for the Next-Generation PHS made by Kyocera was brought to the booth and demonstration was carried out.
The newly released smartphone model Advanced W-ZERO3es made by Sharp; WX320T made by Toshiba, which has just rejoined PHS business after 6-year’s break; and a collaboration phone model with Spanish soccer team FC Barcelona have attracted attentions from visitors.

- TOSHIBA
Toshiba exhibited WX320T, its first model released after rejoining PHS business after a 6-year’s break..

- SHARP
Sharp exhibited its smartphone model Advanced W-ZERO3es which was released on the Japanese market on July 19.

- ABIT
The company provides solution to Taiwan vendors, which develop PHS terminals for Chinese market. PHS terminals sold on Chinese market are exhibited.
