I attended the 21st PHS MoU General Meeting in Zhuhai, of which the special edition of this issuance is based on.

Various opinions were exchanged about the future of PHS and I believe that the meeting was held with great significance and achievement.

It was also agreed in the general meeting that some new service must be carried out to support the further development of PHS, as its price privilege on voice communication is being lost. The public acknowledgment to PHS elements, such as terminal designs as well as provided contents remains strong. It not only survived, but also developed among big tides of mobile market.

We are looking forward to PHS' continuous development in China by introducing new services including Packet and Next Generation PHS.
