ITU Telecom World 2006 in Hong Kong

    International exhibition "ITU Telecom World 2006" sponsored by ITU (International Telecommunication Union) was held in Hong Kong for a period from December 4 (Mon.) to 8 (Fri.), 2006. It's been held in Geneva, Switzerland in every 3 years, however, it's held there this year probably being aware of rapidly progressing Chinese market.
    World's leading manufacturers exhibited various things such as the next generation network technology for example and among them, there were also many PHS related products exhibitions so we'd like to introduce them to you as follows.

(1) UTStarcom
    Latest PHS handsets were displayed.
    128Kbps packet communication based "PHS Packet Phone" and "PHS Wireless Card" for Chinese market were displayed entitled as "PAS Packet Mode".

(2) Inventech
    Latest PHS handsets were displayed.

(3) Hitachi
    Explosion protection type PHS handsets were displayed

(4) Kyocera
    Reference exhibition of 128Kbps packet communication products for Chinese market entitled as "New Generation PHS" was made.

(5) Toshiba
    The core technology of Advanced IP-based PHS Network, ITX (IP Transit Exchange) was displayed.
