PHS related Exhibits at PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2004

Exhibition Site Scene

     PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2004 was held at China International Exhibition Center, Beijing for a period from October 26 (Tue.) to 30 (Sat.), 2004. This event is one of the largest telecommunications exhibitions in Asia and cosponsored by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and also widely supported by the Chinese domestic telecommunications industry as well.


The PHS related products shown are as follows.

Hitachi, Ltd.      Two types of Cell Stations (CSs) for the public PHS service were shown. One is adaptive array type and the other is omni type.      Further, IP-PHS solution was shown as the system for a corporate network. IP-PHS : By linking the PHS remote server available with SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) to the SIP server, IP-compatible private PHS CS can be connected with the IP Centrex server. Full IP environment can be realized while fully utilizing private PHS systemfs usability under the IP Centrex service. Kyocera Corporation      As for the PHS Personal Station (PS), browser phone enabling an HTML image browsing was shown to let the visitors operate that actually. As for the packet system, video demonstration was given and the merit and necessary arrangements for its introduction etc. were explained.      Further, private show was held at the same time to demonstrate an actual packet system and the visitors were able to trial that.

SANYO Booth	SANYO Electric Co., Ltd.      As for the CS, , four models from high-end model capable of SDMA (Space Division Multiple Access) and high-speed data communications to the popular one with uplink adaptive array and downlink omni were shown.      Further, the PHS/GSM Dual-Mode PS available in Taiwan was also shown.
Lucent outdoor Stage UTStarcom, Inc.      UTStarcom was showing the PHS PS available with the PIM card (corresponds to the GSMfs SIM card) containing the subscriber data.      Further, a corporate business general access solution (E-box) integrating the PBX, PHS, LAN etc. into one to provide one-stop general access service for corporate users was also shown.	Lucent Technologies, Inc.      In addition to the latest model LT7901 and LT2005, the whole lineup of Lucentfs PHS related products launched before were shown under the slogan of gA Champion Returns!h.      Further, Lucent was eagerly advertising the PHS PSs on its outdoor stage as well.      The other exhibitors, ZTE, Amoi Electronics, SKYNATCOM, Guangzhou Jinpeng Group etc. were showing the PHS PSs, Oki Electric Industry the intra-office systems and Xifan Haitian Antenna the antennas etc., respectively. Further, many other PHS related products such as a repeater, indoor distribution systems etc. were also shown there. So this exhibition can be said just to show how well the PHS has been developed in China.
