     EZIX is a young company founded in 2001. Our main business area is software R&D, especially software for information and communications. EZIX business partners include with NTT DoCoMo Co., Ltd., Toyota Motor Corporation (Memorial Hospital), and Marubeni Corporation.

     EZIXfs communications software adopts a unique high-compression/extraction technology for two-way peer-to-peer communications, bypassing the server. Furthermore, an optimum compression/extraction method can be selected by sending a protocol signal during communications to monitor the channel status; by doing this, large volumes of data can be transferred through any line more quickly. EZIXfs protocol doesnft adopt an Internet protocol so that it can secure perfect confidentiality and safety.

     gMEDI TELETh is a specific example of this protocolfs application. This system wirelessly connects an ambulance with a hospital to send moving CCD camera images and vital ambulance patient data to a doctor located at the hospital. With this information, the doctor can give appropriate instructions to the ambulance staff.

     Demand for secure data communications is not restricted in urban areas; for example, wireless communication in rural areas between construction sites and headquarters is well suited to PHS + EZIXfs software.

     gPHS+TELETh software can provide real-time moving image communication and can be realized with combination of PC and PHS. In Toyota Memorial Hospital, it is used as a nursing support tool, sending moving images of a patient at home to a doctor in the nursing center. In another example, in the Akita prefectural police department, the system is used to send and receive images between a mobile unit such as a patrol car and the headquarters.

     gPHS+EZIXSTh is a file transfer software for mobile communications and works regardless of file type. It can transfer 100 Mbytes of data within about 30 minutes through a 64 Kbps PHS line even though it may take 3 hours if other methods are used. It works by compressing and extracting data during communications so that data can be transferred without loss. gPHS+EZIXSTh software also has an gINTERPADh function in addition to the basic data transfer function. This additional function shows the same screen and mouse pointer on both sides of the PC link and makes simultaneous entry available. This has already been realized under the TCP/IP communications environment, however itfs a unique feature realize in a peer-to-peer environment. More examples of its application are found in DoCoMo Engineering Kansai Co., Ltd. and Hokkaido prefectural police. The former is a cellsite antenna maintenance company where the system is used to send the antenna damage information from disaster-stricken cell sites to rescue headquarters. At Hokkaido prefectural police, the system is used to send and receive images between a mobile unit such as a patrol car and headquarters.
