Data-Card Type PHS with Built-in Memory Released

P-in memory
|
On February 1, 2002, NTT DoCoMo, Inc. released a data-card type PHS "P-in memory."
The product, by installing 16-MB memory inside the existing data-card type PHS "P-in Compact," enables, in addition to data communications, saving/reading data equivalent to approximately 800-page A4-size document (some 1,000 characters per page) or approximately 200 pictures of digital camera image.
"P-in memory" is also compatible with Compact Flash (CF) Type I/Type II, and enables 64-kbps data communications by attaching this directly to the card slot of PDA or notebook PC.
Most mobile terminals have only one card slot so that by combining the communications function and the memory function in one card, users can enjoy both functions without changing the card.
